First roll of film from Israel: Lomo Purple, Pictures of My Partner, Dogs, Cats, Amirim, The Galilee, Roshpina, etc

I finally got some of my photos from Israel developed! The place where I'm getting them done (Indie Photo in Philadelphia) does color by machine and b&w by hand, so I got this an hour after drop off and will have to wait until next week for the rest. I'm excited to see the rest of the pictures! This is a pretty random roll; I've selected some fun ones and some pretty ones for everyone to enjoy.

When we got to Roshpina, we were starving; my partner's mom recommended Pina Barosh, where we ate on the covered patio where I took this photo of the sweeping landscape in front of us. And now learned that this film doesn't handle landscapes the best, but I like this picture regardless. This is in the north of Israel, I think the mountains in the distance are in contested territory between Israel and Syria.

This was taken from the outdoor meeting place of a commune we stayed at in Rosh Pina. My partner's step uncle lives there part of the time and we stayed for the day and talked and explored the surrounding land.

I like that the purple tint makes it look like my partner is being beckoned into a sea on some alien planet. It was actually the Kinneret, or the Sea of Galilee.

This is also a favorite picture of him in the hot tub of a yurt we stayed in overlooking the Galilee. The yurt was in a small vegan tourist villiage called Amirim. I highly recommend going to Dalia's, some of the best food I've ever eaten.

A black and white cat that had a "hitler mustache" kept on trying to ask us for food and wanted to hang out at the yurt. He jumped on the table when we ate breakfast in the morning.

I'm actually not entirely sure where I took this picture. It might have been on the road.
