August in Pictures

I'm still trying to get out a blogpost about woodhull. There are so many thoughts and feelings about it that it's been hard to put them down on paper. The addition of traveling internationally and trying to keep on top of work has also made it hard to keep on top of things, so while I work on that here are a selection of pictures - mine and those of others, attributed of course - showing some of the things I've done.

Staying on LI with Bex

I have, um, a lot of feelings about Long Island. I grew up there; many bad times and many good times were had. I've tried to avoid it since leaving, but feel a lot of nostalgia for the place. After not visiting for four years, I went back to stay with Bex, not terribly far from where I grew up, in the week leading up to Woodhull.

Alexandra, VA and Woodhull SFA!

There was way too much crammed into the four days I stayed at the Hilton Mark Alexandria, with too many friends and too many good times. I didn't take a lot of pictures, but there are a few of mine and a few from others, as well as some from the panel I moderated, The Hows and Whys of Sex Education in Adult Manufacturing, Retail, and Sex Blogging!

Reid Mihalko graciously captured this picture of myself, Sandy from SheVibe, JoEllen Notte, and Thor from SheVibe on Day 1!

Myself moderating with Jennifer Pritchett of The Smitten Kitten and Metis Black of Tantus as my panelists - I also had Dangerous Lilly, who preferred not to be photographed. Thanks to the official #sfs15 photgrapher, Louis Shackleton, for this snap!

More pictures courtesy of Penny, who put up with my awkwardness of being a photo subject. Bex made me laugh by getting me to talk about going to see my partner the very next day for the first time in three months, and both Penny and Bex were in nothing but Spareparts harnesses after having done a photo shoot with Epiphora. #BlogSquadLife

Flight to Israel

We left Woodhull Sunday evening to drive back to Long Island, then Monday morning Bex was wonderful enough to trek into NYC to bring me to JFK while Penny had a well-deserved sleep-in. I'm terrified of planes, but I think this trip helped relieve that. Flying alone made me feel less nervous. I wish I had gotten pictures of the airport in Baku, Azerbaijan, which looked like Star Trek, and of my partner meeting me at the airport.

Israel!

I've been here for three weeks, and will be here until the end of October. I'm taking a lot of pictures on film but have also already taken some pictures on my camera - I'll decide later if I want to do monthly installments of pictures, or wait until I develop my film and just do one big photo update of Israel. I'm also working on some vlogs...
